Click on the ‘Enter Readings’ link at the right of the Consent Summary screen relevant to the consent and meter that you wish to enter data for. You will open another screen displaying the current period for which readings are required. The screen will also display details of the consent.

The Online meter reading form has the following colour codes:

  • A blue box indicates that a reading is required
  • Entered readings are shown with a blue background until submitted. These can be changed to correct mistakes, but once submitted cannot be altered.
  • Submitted data cannot be altered and is shown with a yellow background.

New Meter
When you install a new meter or if the meter has rewound to zero, you need to type 'm' before the reading. For example, if you replace your meter and the first reading taken is 24, you should enter ‘m24’ in the appropriate date box. If you do not do this, the reading (and all those following it) will be rejected.

No Use
To indicate that the pump has not been used for a particular day, enter a dash '-' in the appropriate box.

No Readings
In days or weeks when you have pumped water and for some reason did not record the meter reading, you have to enter “NR” to indicate no readings.

Submit
Once you have entered your readings, click the [Submit] button to submit the readings. Please note that once data is submitted it cannot be altered. If you find an error with your readings after you submit them please contact a member of the Pollution Prevention administration team.

Submitting Readings
Data for a day can only be submitted at the end of that period. You have the options of indicating No Use (place a dash “-”) or No Reading (type “NR”) to fill up the readings.

Entering Data For Outstanding Months
To enter data for a previous period, click on the appropriate “Active Period” at the top right of the data entry page. Monitoring periods with incomplete readings which are overdue will be indicated in red. Note, you cannot alter or enter any data that has previously been submitted.
